so i finally am on windows 10. my computer kept asking me and i kept refusing, but then it went to a countdown and before i had a chance to stop it, it was updating, and i couldn't use my laptop for the full 1000 year reign of jesus christ.. when i finally could use it, i had a problem opening chrome with all my favourite apps or pages stored.

sometimes i have to open edge for for chrome to open.

but i have had a little go a edge.. edge has a different search engine to google, anyone know what it is?

Also that £35 is for absolutely nothing. You don't need to "set up" a computer beyond type in your name when you turn it on for the first time!

You're friend has given you some rubbish advise I am afraid - the SSD one will be around 10-20 times faster. I would strongly advise you to take it back and exchange it. It is THAT much better.

Over time your non-SSD drive will become "fragmented", this means it will get slower and slower, in a few years it will be so slow you will assume you need a new computer. You can keep the same speed from day 1 with an SSD.

Macs also work out cheaper overall, I have a 2008 MacBook Pro that is as quick as the day I got it and never had a problem, runs on the latest software too. My workhorse Mac Pro machine at work that gets 40-60 use a week is 9 years old, and again, as good as the day I bought it.

Both have been upgraded to SSDs, by the way, which made them 10-20 times faster.

Google is pretty shitty when it comes to privacy too... go Firefox or Chromium if you are concerned about that

What Anders Andersen is not correct about Edge.

Edge is pretty much, pragmatically speaking, standards compliant, s/he is confusing Edge with Internet Explorer - which was not standards compliant and was a giant mess to develop for.

But peaceful Muslims don't get to say terrorists are "not real Muslims" when they carry out the very acts encouraged by their holy book.

Most of the time Darren does not answer my prayers, but I know he hears them.

Sometimes he does though.

Why, the other month I had no money, and I prayed "O Darren, King of all the Fish people, please give me money for sustenance and that new PlayStation game I want to pre-order" and THE VERY NEXT DAY I received in my bank account a sum of money that was not only enough to cover these things, it was also the EXACT same amount as my employer pays me each month in wages.

so today i was asked my thoughts on the pool party incident in mcminney, texas.

my response: it shows a clash of expectations.

i saw police officers who expected citizens to listen to and follow instructions.

Surely you agree that an officer does have the authority to physically restrain, using appropriate force, a non-complying citizen.

Depends on the circumstance, in this case

1) The child had done nothing that required physical force, let alone assault, body slamming and handcuffs, yea maybe for an armed robber? For this - madness

2) Depends what the non-compliance is for, if the officer is being unreasonable or telling someone to do something they have no obligation to do, then no, I don't think the office should be laying a finger on them and should get on with their job - it then becomes harassment

Again it depends what the order is, if it's reasonable and in public interest, sure, if it's an officer on a power trip - no. I say again, police are public servants, not god figures that can tell people to do whatever they feel like and expect them to do it, *just because* they are police. Police are there to serve, protect and uphold the law, not be beyond it.

Respect should be shown if it is earned, wearing a police badge does not give anyone the right to respect, their actions show if they deserve it or not. Office Rambo deserves zero respect, the man is nothing more than a thug, who happens to be wearing a uniform.
